Aviation HVAC System for a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul Facility

Cecil Airport, Boeing, and Jacksonville Aviation Authority partnered to fund the building of a first-of-its-kind aviation facility on the west side of Jacksonville. The  370,000-square-foot digitally enabled maintenance repair and overhaul site will allow Boeing’s aircraft technicians and maintenance to understand the maintenance and repair needs of  US military aircraft before they land at Cecil. Improving maintenance and repair turnaround times.

The facility has more than 100,000 square feet of office and support shop space in addition to approximately 270,000 square feet of hangar space. Nelson & Company worked with Haskell Company and Sauer Mechanical to design and provide an aviation HVAC system to heat and cool the office and support shop space that will provide comfortable working conditions to the nearly 334 new employees in the facility.
