NELSON CARES
Our company culture is about way more than HVAC . . .
At Nelson & Company, we take our work seriously, but we also know there’s more to life than HVAC. We believe in showing up—for our clients, our employees, and our community. Whether it’s having fun as a team, supporting future engineers, lending a hand to a great cause, or just finding ways to build better futures for our communities, we’re all in.
Here’s a look at some of the ways we kick back, and give back—all while having fun at the same time!

Team Fun
At Nelson & Company, we believe in working hard and playing hard. At the end of the day, it’s not just about the HVAC – it’s about the people we serve, the people we work with, and the community we’re proud to be a part of. We get to celebrate being able to solve people’s HVAC problems by letting loose a little, whether it’s outside fun at our holiday parties and team events like local baseball games, inside fun for Halloween costume days and team lunch events, or just general day-to-day camaraderie. Here are a few highlights from some of our favorite chances to have fun as a team and create a company culture that reflects our values.
Here are just a few highlights of how we have fun as a team, and create a company culture that reflects our values.

Supporting Future Engineers:
Robotics World Competition
We love seeing innovation in action, which is why every year we sponsor a U.S.-based team for the Robotics World Competition. The 2023 VEX IQ season started with 8,000 teams from 70+ countries, and only the top 800 teams made it to the Worlds. From there, they battled it out in divisions of 80, with just one team from each group making it to the final round.
We’re proud to help young engineers push the limits of technology and get the hands-on experience they need to shape the future.

Hands-On Help:
Volunteering with ReThreaded

Giving back isn’t just something we talk about—it’s something we do. Our team regularly volunteers with ReThreaded, an organization dedicated to helping survivors of human trafficking rebuild their lives through meaningful work.
During our volunteer days, we get to meet and talk with survivors, learn about the realities of human trafficking, and see and hear the powerful message behind their mural project. We also help prep leather – donated by Southwest Airlines – for their survivors to use creating high-quality goods. They’re days filled with teamwork, purpose, and real impact.
Annual ReThreaded Holiday Shopping Event
Every December, we turn our office into a ReThreaded pop-up shop—because shopping is better when it makes a difference. The event features handmade goods from survivors and products from partner brands that support the mission. All proceeds go toward skills training, employment opportunities, and the recovery process for women in the program.
Erika Nelson is an active member of ReThreaded’s Circle of Sisters, and this event has become a company tradition we look forward to every year. It’s a chance to shop with purpose, support an amazing cause, and wrap up the year doing something meaningful.

We’re here to guide you every step of the way.
Because at Nelson & Company, our mission is to provide the expert solutions you need to keep your facility running smoothly, year after year.
